Follow Sunday

August 15, 2010

I’m just going to link to a bunch of things you should be following and call it a post. For you Twitterers out there, think of this as a #FollowFriday (on a Sunday).

@USABreakingNews (Note – not to be confused with @BreakingNews, which you should be following as well. I like @USABreakingNews better)

The Daily Beast Cheat Sheet – When I lack an idea to write something, this is where I go to find a story

The Nerdist – A blog run by tech guy and hilarious comedian Chris Hardwick. It’s still in beta phase at the moment and I was lucky enough to snag a beta invite, but when The Node network he runs goes out of beta become a member of that too, it’s great.

IMAO – A blog run by Frank J., if you like my blog you’ll like his (perhaps better), he does conservative humor blogging and he does it very well.

A Special Thing – A forum based around alternative comedy, predominately Los Angeles based. Getting into this world was one of the best things that has happened in my life. Try out a few podcasts (Never Not Funny, The Nerdist, The Adam Carolla Show, Jordan Jesse Go, Doug Loves Movies, Comedy Death-Ray Radio, Pod F. Tompkast, Sklarbro Country) and see what you like. When you really get into this world then go visit the forum to interact with the comedians. – Sounds stupid at first for me to be suggesting this, but in case you haven’t heard, The Daily Caller (conservative online news source) bought the domain name as soon as Keith Olbermann temporarily forgot to repurchase it himself. It’s been fun watching Keith’s “decent into madness” ever since. So yeah, go there for all your Keith Olbermann news.
