SCOTUS Lifts Chicago Handgun Ban
The Supreme Court has officially banned the Chicago handgun ban. This ruling is a lot more significant than the Heller case in DC because it seems as if this one can be applied to other state and federal laws rather than just in DC.
I don’t have much to say on this that isn’t obvious. I’m overjoyed of course, but then again, gun laws where I live aren’t too bad. I just need a more convenient place to shoot and I want Maryland to recognize the Florida CCW permit (if your state says you can get it follow the link and go ahead and do that NOW). Other than that though I’m pretty happy with how gun laws are turning out. Oh, and I want to be able to buy an “assault weapon” (most. ambiguous. term. EVER. (said in Comic Book Guy voice)) or handgun before I’m 21. But yeah, this Supreme Court decision is a good thing. It seems like gun control is going in the right direction (backwards) and pretty soon I’ll be able to get my AR15 and Kimber Custom Covert II. Some of my more liberal friends would ask why I need those “assault weapons”, and to that I say “Get out of my way, hippie!”
