“Hiking the Appalachian Trail” With Rep. Mark Souder

May 18, 2010

Turns out that Indiana Rep. Mark Souder (R) is going to resign after admitting that he has had an affair with a member (no pun intended) of his staff (no pun intended). I don’t see how that matters. I mean honestly, does it matter what he does (no pun intended) in his free time? The voters elected him to make decisions based on his political beliefs, and the polls (no pun intended) show that he was probably going to keep his seat regardless. If the voters still want him he shouldn’t have to retreat in shame. Regardless, I know of one person who still wants him (pun intended).

This whole scandal gave me an idea though. After blending this incident with a recent American Dad episode I think that the best way to get conservative leadership back in the President’s office is to get girls (or guys) to try and “hike the Appalachian TrailAcorn sting operation style on purely liberal leaders. All we need to do is implicate Obama, Biden, Byrd, Clinton (the slightly more female one), and Geithner in scandals and then Robert Gates can lead, and while he’s not perfect I recognize that he’s pretty brilliant. Ok, so that said, let’s begin. They’re politicians, how hard can this really be?

The reason this is an issue is that conservatives run on “family values” and then he didn’t practice what he preaches. All politicians run on their reputations so by showing poor judgement he is failing those people who voted for him.

Still love the blog. Keep up the great work, stud!
